Doma:

Did you listen to the Peter Biddle and SKS DIDW conference presentation?

http://conference.digitalidworld.com/2003/attendees/downloads.php

SKS made it sound like a "universe of services" was coming and we are just on the edge of it. I wonder what other kinds of services are coming?

I'm not clear on exactly what services are? Document Manager, eSignatures, PIM, etc., are applications. I don't see them as services. Or are they?

Dear Doma,

I think we all overlook the possibility that EMBASSY firmware will be licensed by the likes of NSM IFX ATML ST Micro into a single chip solution for the next generation of cell phones, pda's etc. Moreover, E2100 will find its way into the government sector etc. ala Cubic, Maximus etc. Hence, one way or another, Wave will be everywehere!! Microsoft's next operating system will incorporate all of the unique features that Wave brings to the TCG table. True, some of the basic software offerings will be part of Microsoft's OS, but attestation & the utilities(premium services) are Waves. We also should not forget DVI/HDCP & Silicon Image/Wave/Intel. The MPAA won't release a DVD in 1080i until they are sure it can't be copied in a first generation playback...Carl.

Doma

This may be a question of semantics, but bear in mind that at the present time KTM and ACM are considered part of Wave's ETS portfolio, or will be when officially released.

I would expect any licensing of ETS to MSFT would be for "basic" ETS only, like the Intel bundling for example.

I do think that if MSFT licenses basic ETS for Windows XP, that it would be an incredible marketing tool for ETS Premium Services.

Doma, we've only seen a sneak peak of some vary basic services from Wave. They have stated many times that they have other services, but there is no need to discuss them until there enough TPM's in the marketplace that understand how to use these more advanced features.
