It will be interesting to see if CS offers TOS to their existing clients. I used TOS years ago and learned to write code, but now I just trade very simple and don't need all the neat markups I was able to do. But if they offer it, I will try it out again to get around the problem below.
I currently trade at CS almost all of the time from their web-based platform. I also have Street Smart Edge that I use to place orders because it allows for MOC orders. The app is such a disaster that I then close it out and use the web-based app for everything else.
By the way, IB is not much better. I can no longer use MOC with them because they will charge me commission if my shares traded run over 10% of my monthly total. So with them I have to set up conditional orders to execute at 15:59:59. This is a real pain.
I used Fidelity for about a year and I am thinking I may go see what they have to offer in the way of MOC orders. Their web-based platform was actually one of the best I have used. I especially liked they way they show transactions. They do it like a banking statement, showing the cash balance after each trade. Easy to find a mistake.
