I appreciate your interest to see what's already known in the public domain headlined at the present time. Any credible researcher, especially with credentials in the field of study can find papers at nauseam for spoon-feeding purposes. Your Captain reference reinforces my point. Look no further than lay people to know more than a misguided KOL to understand science has been highjacked by, you can take your pick - Group-think, beliefs, egos, etc. Unfortunately, the dumbing down effect on society has been across the board. If the medical field did a fraction of what Capt has done to point out "it's the EPA stupid," Vascepa would be widely known. Frankly, the fact that it isn't is a reflection on the quality of physicians at large, than it is on sales by Amrn.
I come from a lineage of overachieving physicians, and I'm mentioning this only to emphasize a point. Think of that TV show "House" without the idiosyncrasies and the drug addiction of the lead character. What makes him different from the rest? To an outside observer, the entire cast appears to be very learned, astute, with straits you would expect them to have. But as it turns out, the rest are willing to rest on a particular diagnosis or theory. At some point they throw their hands up, until House comes up with a diagnosis that often appears to come out of no where. That's my bro, and certainly how dad was. I'll leave it to others to ponder what that trait is. It's a trait that has served me well I know in my personal life. Let's just say, it's far removed from a psych major we know who believes technological facts can be schizophrenic.
