This explains why we don't see so many of these majestic creatures today and as unbelievable as that is some countries are still participating in such things today. This why Green Peace was formed.
Finland creates traps for a smaller whale that comes to their shores in numbers once a year.......they are still eating whale meat today maybe but hope not. They do this by hiding the nets below the surface of the water and when they come in close enough these are pulled up creating a fence and trapping them inside. The poor whales don't know what to do and panic.
This is all I will tell of this story. I hope the press helped. I though alot more of that country till I saw this on National Geographic that made the world aware of their practices.
