It is a good thing you arent as even if they lose the case, the penalties are usually not that severe, but in this case the odd of losing the case for defendants are very very low

I imagine hedge fund clients want them to settle. Those are probably the largest offenders and these MMs went along and traded as well. Discovery could be very problematic for some of these funds. Then you start getting hooks into their communications between themselves and the press. I think many more folks than the listed defendants are concerned.
