An appropriate enabler in the form of a PR from Missling when the trials were completed/ (in the CTAD PR) stating something like ' we are excited to complete the AD trial and look forward to sharing the data in the coming months' would probably have evinced some interest in the investing community - for those who are not aware or who do not bother to keep themselves updated unless there is a headline/PR.

On the other hand, look at those folks in SAVA and ANVS - they announce to the world that they saw a rare endangered tiger when in fact it was a cat that strolled by (and then justified by Wall Street; after all the logic being they are belong to the same family : Felidae).

I don't think it's mystifying there hasn't been a run-up. Run-ups occur when there's a significant transfer of interest from the current owners to new owners. Existing retail holders aren't going to average up significantly enough to move the price. Commercial buyers are going to wait until the investment is completely de-risked before jumping in fully, so there's a stagnant gap that will only be filled with positive top-line data.

Meanwhile, deep in the back of everyone's mind there exists the possibility of another P3 trial. Whether the notion is the product of reality or the product of short sellers stoking fear is irrelevant.

Investors were also burned by similar run-ups in other companies last summer. The economy is in a much different place today, as is the stock market. Conditions that existed then are no more and run-ups across every sector have become fewer and further between.

Wait until the top-line data is revealed. Most of us should be able to infer Anavex's next step based the results and if it appears an FDA submission is imminent, I think you'll see the run-up begin then.

Even if there is only 33% chance of success, that should get us to the $40+ a share all the analysts say we are worth. Instead, nothing.

My guess is it can come any time, just like the Sava run took us up on a non Avxl event. Bp doesnt want to bring attention to us yet including their HF “partners”. Run up on no news and catch management and retail by surprise and drop before the news hits taking some of the sail out of the wind but accumulating all along is one scenario. We think data release is a binary event but judging by HF ability to flip and flop biogens MC we havent seen anything yet.

Prayers for Gods will.

I have pointed this out several times.

Unproven MOA. Extremely high failure rate for AD drugs. No P3 trials completed. Totally out of the mainstream approach to CNS disease.

Other than that, according to some on the board, Missling is a failure as a CEO. He has a history of missing self declared deadlines.

Once a few of the above items are taken care of then money will pour into Anavex. Till then the short position remains high and the perceived risk is very high.

Each of the replies to your post make good points. It's obvious that WS has no real belief in what AVXL has to sell, therefore no real money comes in. After being here seven long years, I sometimes have little belief myself. But I'm staying long because nothing revealed about the science in that period was sufficient to change my mind, emotions be d*mned. I'm resigned that the powerful forces that are either lined up against AVXL (AF/minions, shorts, BP, dementia mgmt industry, et al) or whose indifference / incompetence (FDA, TGA, et al) stymies real progress might win out and blarcamesine gets buried in obscurity. So be it, life and death go on.

I do think the Nov 8 sweeping out of the many hideously corrupt people now occupying power will stimulate global markets in a positive way, AVXL being a beneficiary. Markets are already starting to sense that there may be hope for this country after all.

Bourbon... Hopefully you're not feeling any similarities with the unfortunate roller coaster ride some of us on this board took with Advaxis. Say it ain't so.

You get strange behavior when greed, arrogance, pride and a steadfast belief that evil and corruption will always win out.

The retail stockholders in Anavex have been savagely beaten, for more than 10 years. Most on the other side along with their teams of wolf bashers on the different Anavex message boards can't admit or believe that they can or will ever be beaten. It's the same mechanism that makes everything from the Venus Flytrap work or for Napoleon and Hitler to continuing deeper and deeper into Russia and her brutal winter.

Maybe, their plan will work; it has up to this point; but, I can tell you, what I think; there is a lot more room for AVXL to go up than for it to go down. Cheers!
