I was wondering the same thing. If a third party damaged a shipment they should have replaced it without charge. ??

HDG, that's the question I asked shortly ago...how is it that the 3rd party manufacturer isn't absorbing that cost? What about insurance? I mean if the manufacturer has an arms length relationship with AMRN, which I have to wonder, how are they not totally responsible? Could that imply that the hundreds of millions in inventory they presently have could be at risk in the future?

Hopefully because they were required to book the charge when the issue was disclosed, but recovery will take some time until whoever is the guilty party concedes responsibility.

"had a charge of $9.6 million related to unsellable inventory not related to product dating."

Packaging problem, insert problem, capsule labelling problem?
Packaged product damaged during shipping or in storage?

Couldn't be an api or capsule problem, could it?
QA would have caught those problems.
