He did a great job. He's not Dr. Liau. She peppers her talk with stories of her joy in caring for her patients. Receiving Christmas cards, etc. But this was genuinely a fantastic presentation of TLD. It's just that really virtually no one actually saw it and as it was presented, not some poorly recorded version, but as it was presented on the site, with no background noises on a 2nd hand recording.
The problem is, the company apparently can't further back it up with a release of the actual results. They have this exception for scientific presentations. In my opinion, absent the journal release and a PR of the results, they probably should not have gone with this venue and waited. But that is second guessing. Everyone seems to think COVID is over. It's not. Because everyone is behaving as if it is over, everyone is now getting it. Absolutely everyone.
They had, no doubt, a lot of pressure to get it out or else and not to sit on it. And they promised they would get it out asap they had it, and that appears to be what they did do. But the reality is now we have to contend with spinning by those who want the company to be perceived as a failure, for whatever reasons, whether for profit and trading or otherwise. We can try to get out the alternative and truthful message, but until there is a journal article and appropriate further media coverage explaining the results to laymen, we'll have the spin of the shorts to contend with....
