I think you are absolutely right about the "let's sneak this in" maneuver.
It was never part of the testimony, just a marked exhibit. It was cropped to bolster and support Dr. Heinecke's fraudulent testimony. Judge Du then bought Dr. Heinecke's frauduulent testimony, and copied the cropped table into her Opinion.
It is truly an embarrassment that this has gotten this far without any court severely sanctioning this nonsense. It would be a further travesty if nothing is done about via our current Appeal.
