Whenever we traveled when our son was young I'd try and include a trip to a museum in every city we visited.
When we went to the Met in NYC he said to me Dad I could spend several days here. It doesn't get any better than that.
My favorite restaurant in Chicago was Harry Caray's. I knew the owner and his wife and son. It was close to where our office was and within walking distance of my hotel.
We sat and chatted for several hours while we discussed Harry and baseball.
