Cosign...

Pardon my jumping in... and I may have missed the context: It (the ERAS) is server-side software: i.e. software that resides ON the server. In enterprise software circles the term "server" refers to server-side software, not a physical (hardware) server.

Best Regards,

It's software that turns a server into a computerized system that does administration and REMOTE authentication.

My point is not that it can't be produced rapidly in quantity, but that unless some of the pilots have been specifically oriented towards consumer services that doing that will require planning time, training time, installation time, and advertising time.

Those of us who believe this also believe that this means the consumer stream will start now, but will take us through Christmas and into 2008 to become significant while the purchase of the ERAS software, the EEE software by the organizations will provide the jump in 2007.

The argument becomes more moot, almost silly, with each passing day!!!Let's all sit back and enjoy the green. By March 17th, let's just see how green it gets.

This 'server', IMO, is a software application, that runs on a hardware computer. Do you think, for example, that Microsoft's 'Exchange Server' is a piece of hardware, tucked away in some computer room? No! It's a piece of software installed and running on a physical computer, a hardware 'server', tucked away in a computer room.
