the problem with the price here has nothing to do with MMs. This company has a negative book value when removing goodwill and intangibles, and it has been losing huge amounts each quarter.
Every quarter we are led to believe that is all changing. Here we sit at month end and no pre-announcement of earnings or revenues for Q3, as Rory hinted he would do because things were so fantastic.
Does he not realize that the stock price would go up if that were the case NOT because MM's won't be able to 'hold it down' any longer, but because there are plenty of people who look at numbers and results far more than they listen to hype, and simple demand vs supply will make the price increase?
