Sounds like the easier solution would be to invest in a way to reel it themselves.
I think it would be smart to have a biochemist in the mix, hell the possibilities for scientists in different industries to run with this tech in their own way is, well almost endless.
They are being very narrow minded at the moment, they had a gpa and they are still trying to accomplish it.
They will find a way, as long as they let their scientists be creative enough with it.
