Ref your recollections of the WS Journal article that sent a small stock soaring: I had a couple hundred shares as a much younger person (thinking this was about 25 years ago?) and was running late to catch a plane. But I took a moment to check the market, found the stock had gone from nowhere to about $90 a share and rapidly fallen to $50. I promptly sold it all and when I got off the plane a couple hours later, its price stood in the $20 range. Don't recall the stock's name and don't know if it's still around today.
