Falconer, you are right again but actually this is an example of a well understood problem in Pharma-Medical device world. At the interface of business profit and overhead costs there is a requirement for PREVENTIVE ACTION. In fact both the FDA (all regulatory bodies WW) and all ISO QMS compliant systems WW we see this issue. Comes down to how much time and money gets spent PREVENTING problems from developing/happening vs fixing them after the fact.

So, it is a long story well beyond this bd. Top management invariably fixes things AFTER they are broken. Preventing things requires serious risk analysis and (usually) training to detect/avoid/prevent the problem from ever happening. As investigators we find this expensive ?OH rich process of prevention way down on the list of things to. It is expensive to do and it is unclear what the risk/payback will be. so, it gets put of until it bites them in the ARSE...like what we are about to learn w/AD...and CNS diseases. Preventive action works.

So, Medical science will eventually figure out what AVXL products are worth but only after they are forced to do so. We have all been here before and we know how this movie ends, but it will take a while to drag the herd through the entire , "preventive action" concept.

Falconer

From the start of the Anavex sigma-1 receptor agonist story, one overriding, controlling perspective has been imposed; just as with today’s sell off of AVXLs after the news of the Alzheimer’s prophylaxis trial being planned. It’s this. Everything about the science of the Anavex molecules pushes hard against what is known and believed. It simply can’t be true. If it is (if blarcamesine actually works in humans as it does in lab rodents), the majority of professionals in both medicine and biotech financial advisory positions will be shown to be utterly and tragically wrong. They are the real experts. They have MD and MBA degrees. They KNOW THEIR STUFF, and the stuff of Anavex just can’t be true.

Treating Alzheimer’s with a daily pill taken with a glass of water? Get real. Neurons can’t be fixed that way. Then, even weirder is the notion that that that pill would actually prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s. Just can’t be so.

And that will be the case until real people actually take blarcamesine for a time and hard data show the real benefits of blarcamesine. That probably won’t be until some time in 2023. Then, silence. The Anavex naysayers, in both the medical and investment communities, won’t be heard from again.

Muchas gracias for the long reply falconer. Yes I understand that any results outside of Alzheimers will be anecdotal only. Where oh where does Covid fall into Dr Misslings plans? Fear and death spread all over the news waves everyday! Pictures of that giant red spiney ball giving seniors and people that have a weak immune system (for the most part, yes healthy people can die) nightmares.

Once we reach market as a prophylactic perhaps we will not have to be so fearful and instead reinfused with life!

Thank you for all your valuable perspectives and God bless!

No one's suppressing your opinion, nor are they therefore oppressing the company or impeding 'Science'. When you're wrong or misleading, it's simply pointed out. Don't worry, medical progress won't stop :-)
