If it is just recoil kits, do they really need someone to temporarily oversee everything? I don’t really see any way they go into the final testing/acceptance phase without all the parts. As you wrote, each soldier (training headset) probably requires two, one for a rifle and one for a handgun. Then there would be magazines, probably 3 per gun, and what about threat fires? My question is how many of the initial 120k headset order are for training and how many are destined to be extras/replacements/operational units that don’t have corresponding kits and mags (and threat fires :)? How many extra/replacement kits and mags might be ordered? I’m hoping the SP comes down a bit more while I wait for some more funds to move in.

Sharp here is the best news you will hear all day.

You are wrong :) haha at least I hope you are! and so do you. Here is what I mean. You have taken the # of HUDs in the STP's and then used the # of soldiers in that particular unit to arrive at your %'s of recoils to HUDs. Then extrapolated that into financials I don't think that is correct. The answer was always in that objectives page. 20 recoils per squad. If its 1 squad or 10M squads its the same. Long story short every soldier (HUD) gets 2 recoils. STP 2 and STP 3 were 20% and 33% respectively for recoils to HUD ratio. STP 4 was 125% huge jump. The real number is 200%. I think the reason the STP2 and STP3 were so low is that they were trying to get a large number of HUDs on the system at once. Testing the load capacities etc. They already know the recoil kits work so why wouldnt 50 work or 50000 ? Not worth testing. But networks and computers and all that other crap interface and drag each other down. That is why there were so many HUDs for so few people in the earlier STPs.

Also thanks for your earlier post. That timeline makes sense to me.
