I support these moves, the hiring of the new person, and her direction of an internal sales force. The alternative, previously presumed by many, was for the company to merely license out their drugs to other sales and commercialization entities; become merely a royalty-supported small biotech. Although it might take a few months longer, creation of an in-house sales force will yield the greatest financial rewards, for both the company and its shareholders. Anavex Life Science Corp, then, is destined to be a major, world-class pharmaceutical.

Agree about the changes coming and defer to your lab knowledge but the FDA and commercial BP is in for a shock, IMO.(see FDA-PM/AI/SW/other time considerations) Could the entire FDA process for "the way of drug development", be up for process-re-engineering? PI,PII,PII, etc along w/ all pre-clinical work are due for a rethink in CNS development. Major process overhauls way over-due???

Anavex is confident of drug approval in the near term, and as so, needs to put in place efficient communication, drug delivery and drug payment systems and therefore needs to find someone with extensive (25 years) background in overseeing the delivery and product payment services.

Hence Anavex, anticipating this need, has welcomed Ms. Jiong Ma, PhD to its Board of Directors. Ms. Ma is Senior Board executive with over 25 years of experience in investing, building, scaling of companies with focus on innovative product launches in digital health, technology and the new energy transition.

Exciting times await AVXL investors!

falconer, no offense intended, but Ms. Ma is not an employee and, as such, is not an employee. She's on the BOD, so she will not be running any internal sales force that might be hired to sell blarcamesine to Rett patients, and possibly, PD/PDD later. (Though PR has "Ms." I wonder if she'd prefer "Dr."?)

Maybe, she'll assist in the hiring of the top sales & marketing person.

Regardless, falconer, thank you for your contribution to helping so many, including me, understand the Anavex science.
