My Take on the Show Last Night.

They had two rounds.

Songbook Round

1) Casey- Didn't love the song for her. She sang if fine, but nothing great either. Grade B-

2) Chayce- Picked a very good song for him, and showed more power than I was used too, too be honest. He sang the song very well, one of his best. Grade B+

3) Willie- Picked a good song for him, and did it extremely well. Was a excellent vocal, with a excellent song. Grade A-

4) Caleb- Don't love, his tone with his style. He's got a country tone, yet often times he doesn't sing like one, and signs like a rock singer, which doesn't work for me for some reason. Grade C-

5) Arthur- Another horrible vocal, he literally wrecked the song with the arrangement as well. Why is he here? Grade F

6) Grace- A brilliant Song choice, was talked into the right song choice. Less is more for Grace. She thinks overpowering a song makes it sound great for some reason sometimes. It is better when you build a song up and with her voice going 80% power is enough, and her lower voice is pretty as well. Her best performance to date, as she connected emotionally, and sang it well with a excellent song. Grade A

7) Hunter- That was not a great song, with a bad and I do mean really bad vocal. Grade F

Mom Round

1) Casey- I've always like the song and she sang it well, but as the song was going on I was forced to asked, how is this song exactly dedicated to mom or anyone for that matter. Grade B

2) Chayce- Picked a original song, the song was great, plus it made sense for who it was dedicated too. Plus he sang it very Well. Best performance to date and not even close. Grade A

3) Willie- It was okay, but far from his best. Didn't love how he did that song, and the song had some slight vocal issues. Grade C+

4) Caleb- Sang an original song, Better than his first performance song was okay, he was okay as well. Grade C+

5) Arthur- Better than round 1, but that isn't saying much, because it still wasn't a good vocal in my opinion. Grade D

6) Grace- Sang a decent song, and outside of a few minor flaws she sang it well and was connected, not as good as the first song, but still very good song and a very good vocal. Grade B+

7) Hunter- Another bad vocal, better than his round 1 performance, but that isn't saying much because it was still pretty bad. Grade D+

I expected Hunter and Arthur to be cut, and that is exactly what happened. So In my opinion America got it right. All is just my opinion of course.
