well, it sounds like this week’s show was…

better than the prior week, so i will watch this one. its recorded on my dvr.

i love your reviews. you put a lot of time and effort into them, so i want to make sure that i take the time to read them.

i still miss the first few years of Idol, as it has spun way out of control later, but its still something ot watch.

skillz, i just watched and here is my take on the show…

i am not posting about the ones i dont like, why bother…

ding ding ding….

round one,

I love the mentor, Chris.. he is great with all of them…

casey- she is good and beautiful, but not great. but she is your typical all American girl but not for long, the way things are going. sigh.

chayce, just love his tone and voice… very manly and over the years, you know i like manly men, not wimpy high pitched crying men.

caleb’s song was manly but not good.

grace was quite good but, i am just saying.. her big “asset” is going to be a struggle for her. she looks amazing but its hard to look past the “asset”. sigh.

round 2- ding ding…

chayce— once again, loved it, very intense, a tad flat at time but great.

caleb- nice tone but still just average.

grace, again, very good but why put a tight dress on her?? sigh.

my fav of them all is Chayce. and he made the top 5.

wohhh! just heard that Caleb was pushed off the show because years ago, when he was a kid, someone near him had a KKK hat on, but his mom said it was the hat of a character, but either way, this is crazy. so, what happens as a young kid, still gets you in trouble for the rest of your life?

My Take on the Show Last Night.

Round 1

1) Chacye- Solid Vocal, not the most exciting song, but Solid. Grade B-

2) Casey- Disliked the song choice, Sang is just okay, but normally better. Grade C+

3) Grace- I Didn't like that all. Seemed like she was off, and sometimes screaming the song. Thought it was below average. Grade C-

4) Willie- Sang it increibly well. Didn't love the arrangement. But the vocal was very good. But the arrangement Holds it back a bit for me. Grade B

Round 2

1) Chacye- His original Song was okay, he sounded okay. The cover Was better and rock solid. Grade B-

2) Casey- I'm usually a big fan, but I didn't think she was good last night. The original song wasn't great, the cover was worse. A combo of being off with timing, bad notes, some pitchiness and Some Screaming as well. Grade C-

3) Grace- The original song was decent, And she sang it well. The cover was Above Average. Grade B

4) Willie- The original Song was decent and sang well. The Cover was Probably the best of the night. Grade B+

The Duets

Chacye and Casey- Was just okay for me. Casey didn't have great control over her voice last night, and chacye kind of gets drounded out singing next to her. Grade C

Grace and Willie- Willie was good, but Grace certainly wasn't on this song. She was pitchey. Overall didn't love it Grade C-

I personally was debating between cutting Grace who was my choice to cut coming in, and Casey who was my favorite, because she had a tough night, where her vocals weren't great combined with not great song choices. Casey was the worst of the night, but I thought overall Casey was better than grace over the contest. So I would of eliminated Grace, but they eliminated Casey. Right now I see Willie as the winner of this thing and it isn't even close to me at this point. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.
