There's a big double standard. As a group the strongest anti-gay marriage folks are African-American Baptists. Many get very upset if you try to compare the gay struggle with their racial struggles. They've got a point, of course. There are a lot of differences. For one thing, gays growing up didn't used to have any church or community to turn to.
Don't get me started on that subject! After the halloween pirate story and the way the black people acted I don't even want to hear it anymore...it was a PIRATE!!!!!!! It had NOTHING to do with slavery or lynchings or anything other than it was a fucking PIIIIIRRRRRRRATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
