I take the point, but why would Apple pay double or triple for the part to make it scuff-proof when scuffs don’t affect the product’s effectiveness and scuffs do make someone eventually want to buy more of the product simply because of looks?

I think the best argument for LM is not scuffs but me-only functionality. Inductive charging, for example. Or weight or thinness. Or the requirement to form in one step a ruthlessly complex shape.. we all know the benefits of LM.

There will be no scuff-gate. This won’t affect the sales of airtags in the least. As I mention above it could lead to more over time, as people who care about scuffs buy a new one every 6-12 months and give their used trackers to kids or friends who find they like them.

One thing for sure is when Mr. Li does talk I will be a wreck as i download the article or comment wondering what he has to say or go to the price first to see if it has reacted to his comment. Maybe Li never speaks again and he will allow revenues to speak for him? I will always wonder what is Li's Plan? Is his plan to still be listed on the Nasdaq one day? I also remember someone on his team said all news or company comments will be via the blog. no unnecessary bla bla bla will be in a PR, Mr. Li is no nonsense so he says.
