Your exactly right.
Here is the facts....they were deemed key employees and traded during a blackout period. They broke the rules on insider trading in that they COULD have been trying to benefit using insider information.
Now, with that said, I have certainly heard a lot of barking how Verb is full of lies, has no viable product, etc. Fine, each is entitled to their own opinions. BUT.....and tHis is a big BUT, Im not sure how the above claims of Verb being a scam and employees engaging in insider trading (remember the whole premisce of it relies on having insider info to benefit the employees trades) can be used in the same breath.
If Verb released some 8k worthy news that showed a massive increase in revenue, then maybe Id care more about the "insider trading" to benefit those employees.
Otherwise, its a nothingburger, you are correct. They got fired for breaking that rule and Rory and Verb did exactly what they were suppose to do with these employees.
