I couldn’t have said it better myself. Thanks for sharing that again. It’s been quite a while, but I do remember you sharing it a while back.
It’s definitely why I am suspect of any politician. There is a high bar for them to earn my respect - which is probably why I can only count a handful of them that I have ever truly trusted and respected - even if I didn’t/don’t agree with their politics.
As for personal life - I’ve definitely had to walk away from sociopaths I’ve crossed paths with. It’s the best thing anyone can do for themselves - as difficult as it may be. There is someone in my life who is currently married to a sociopath and doesn’t realize it. It’s infuriating to watch someone I care about think that their spouse loves them (and their child), but really that spouse doesn’t care at all when push comes to shove. Lots of gaslighting. It’s infuriating to watch, but I try to have fun with this person and their child any time we get a chance to visit (which is far less than pre-pandemic).
I’ll comment on your Zelda post here. It’s just such a fun game right? They did a really good job. Are there better games available out there? Sure, but I think this is definitely in the top 3 in terms of games that have been available on Nintendo’s console. Glad you’re enjoying it and I am totally familiar with the controller behind me while I recline! I have a first gen Switch, so there are some issues with the controller when it’s lost line-of-sight with the console, but I think Nintendo fixed that with future generations of the Switch.
