#41561 RE: RedCloud #41516

Stock specific Chat boards are supposed to be about sharing good due diligence on a stock and the company. What I have ascertained is that about 85% of the posts are off topic, board banter, garbage posts, and duplicate posts or just plain filler that is designed to distance good informative posts, in other words trash posts.

10% of the posts are good argumentative posts which generally elicit good counter arguments that are good reading and informative.

5% of the posts are what I would consider great posts that contain information that even I can make intelligent decisions from, what I call money making or money saving posts.

So what makes for a good board?

For the last five days I have moderated this board full time. Each day deleted posts that fell into the first category listed above.

I have also provided rules for the road to keep the board clean and clear of obstructions, diatribe and just plain useless posts.

So where are the real problems? First off if your post was in response to a post that is deleted then it was removed.

My suggestion to that problem is this...if you feel your post stands on its own merit, is informative and contains valuable Due Diligence then let it stand on its own. Don't post it as a reply to someones post that could be removed. Post it as a new message. Then it won't get deleted in the cleaning process.

If you respond to a post then weigh out the post you are responding to..if that post is an attack then it will most likely be removed. If the post has no relevance to your reply and is a junk post it could also be removed or deleted as a result.

When you are posting you should read the TOU Refresher on the right hand side of the posting screen here is what it says:

Off-topic: Any off-topic discussion is a violation of TOU. If your post is not about the stock for the board you're posting to, do not post it. Use email, private message, or post it to a board where it is on-topic.

Spam: Do not post the same or similar message on more than TWO boards. More than that is considered spam. Spam posts will be removed and repeated and/or egregious offenses may result in suspension of your posting privileges.

If you don't understand what these two are talking about then it is likely the reason why your post was removed.

If you replied to a post that was deleted then your post was deleted in that cleaning process...another reason your post was probably removed.

If your post contained characters like: LOL, :), yes, no, thats funny, great siggy, I like that picture, OH, NO, ;), LMAO, etc then it was probably removed along with replies to the same...its called board trash.

If your post contained useless information without explanation it was probably removed and any reply's to your post were also removed as well.

In other words for the last five days this board was moderated on a full time basis in an appropriate manner as all stock boards should.

But people don't want that so for the next five days I am not going to moderate I will let the board do as it wishes. People can post what they want, say what they want and trash the board as they want.

Now if you want to have a fully moderated board and understand what I have posted above then let the board know. Let RedCloud know if thats what you truly want. Otherwise I am going to sit on the sidelines and watch what happens to a perfectly good and well moderated board.

Let me explain something before I go. I knew about the increase in the AS before it was announced on the boards...this was part of my own personal due diligence. I knew the board would turn into a circus act if it was not clamped down. I also knew people would get hurt if it wasn't. That was one of the reasons I did clamp the board down. I also knew the CES show was coming up and that the company would most likely be announcing some good changes and be making those announcements that were being held back to kick off the New Year and in this line of thinking I felt it prudent to keep the board under control, in line and informative to those wishing to find good information about the stock and the company.

Anyway I could go on and on but I won't...what I do know personally is I like a clean house where I can find what I am looking for and I feel comfortable in, a house I like to come home to...

What you need to ask is if you like the same.

Have a great day folks...I'm gonna relax..take a little vaca iffin you know what I mean.
