Boardmembers: Please be patient. We are attempting to get some clarification on some rules. I apologize to many of you who feel like your posts shouldn't have been deleted while others know exactly why their posts were deleted. Regardless of the clarification we are seeking, the following type posts are subject to being deleted and needs no clarification:
1. Duplicate -- an accidental duplicate post by a member
2. Vulgarity – cursing of any kind is unacceptable
3. Off Topic – a post unrelated to CKYS
4. Personal Attack– when someone attacks a person, with name calling, or relating to the messenger and not the message.
5. Violation of Privacy – posting of any personal identifiable information (email, real name, phone, address, etc)
6. Threat – someone threatening another member in some fashion
7. Thread Disruption -- someone posting to disrupt the board, stir up trouble.
8. Spam/Advertising - messages that are true spam or advertising for another site (see TOU)
9. Challenging or questioning of deleted posts. - If you challenge a deleted post, you will be deleted. If I delete one of your posts, you can PM me tactfully and I will generally tell you why I deleted it so we can try to avoid it happening again, Although the rules state you should contact Matt. I know it may not seem like it at times, but we are just acting on instructions by Matt. Those of you who know me, know that I have the best interest in this being a successful board where people enjoy posting and sharing valuable DD. Everyone gets posts deleted from time to time, including me, so let's try to work together to keep the board "on-topic" and free of influences that are counterproductive to a progressive board.
