The accepted standard is to publish all results, good or bad. Sometimes science finds as much value in learning what doesn't work than it does in what does work. Most government funded studies require publication for this reason but shareholder funded studies have no such obligation. Some institutions will not participate in any study where the final results are not made available to the scientific community, and this is a growing practice.
