No. PFE allocated $2B of their own funding to develop the vaccine.

The confusion comes when thru Warp Speed, the gov placed a pre-order for 100M doses, contingent on FDA approval. Which means Pfizer still hasn't received any gov funds. No matter if it's called Warp Speed, or Impulse Speed. PFE has to deliver the vaccine to one of its customers, the US gubbermint, in order to be paid.

The last figures I saw, PFE expected to make $3B profit total. Or 3-2=$1B profit.

Yes, PFE took money from Warp Speed, but only for the distribution and mfg...nothing for R&D as they wanted to be politically independent in that front


You forgot Dr Atlas who was at the forefront of going maskless until a vaccine came along.
