I spoke to Allison personally. I believe the abstract was submitted as a “placeholder” with already known blinded results just in case they decided later to have the unblinded TLD. They more than likely did the same at SNO. I believed, and still believe, they are waiting on a negotiation for publication. I know Dr. Ashkan in particular is well connected to publishers and they will NOT announce the nuance of the results in a secondary conference if it would disrupt and/or negate getting published in a well established peer reviewed journal.
I simply haven’t seen this tactic of endless placeholders with other companies approaching phase iii results.
