Very unlikely Dr. Missling would say in public that the 30mg and 50mg doses were both efficacious and significant as a dataless completely manufactured statement.

For whatever reason data was delayed beyond Anavex being able to PR the readout by end Q3. We got a topline statement yesterday before all the detailed and subgroup analysis is complete.

I did not dare to hope, based on A2-73 data to date and non before now in PDD, that both the 30mg and 50mg doses would contribute positively to the topline and am on record as expecting PR only after subgroup analysis.

Yes it is unusual to issue topline results completely without data, not even a single P value. Be it as it may, but shareholders have been screaming for PR probably not just here on iHub. Missling did say he wanted results out to shareholders immediately and that's what we got.

The market in analyst speak rightly had expectations of a little more colour on the 'great it works' PR. We saw that expressed in the price action yesterday (even when compensating for the Cabal effect).

Luckily for many an amount of de-risking occurred yesterday without the need to sell any shares.

PS! I am still here. Sorry not planning on going anywhere and haven't got anywhere near as many posts out as my target require. Will try to get some more AH one's out, but usually fall asleep.

Clearly in the subject of data he said that the results were very good and this is not the last time we will hear about this data. He never said the delivery was complete. The obvious purpose of the announcement was to address the morning drumbeat of “ what has happened to PDD READOUT?” He has done just that. Additionally he said details will be forthcoming! This is to disspell all the mystery of lateness amid the occasion of a worldwide pandemic. Certainly appropriate and his choice. I certainly see nothing wrong in what was done!

It's just the way it is

Suggest you do a google search on "Mental Models". Read a little by Dr. Peter Senge on the subject. Good stuff to be aware of. TIA.

it seems few people find it odd that a clinical-stage biotech releases a press release of a trial whose data is "statistically significant" but then doesn't include any data. And then has a conference and still doesn't mention data.

What do I know? I was born a skeptic. You just don't see this very often. Either the release of a pr was premature or Missling is struggling significantly to put a positive spin on non-data.

Otherwise, he would have said something; he would have given some numbers. It's just the way it is. Rarely is it any different in biotech. And one has to ask: why is it different this time?

a late response on my part to your post a few days ago.

So how would that work then? Statistically significant is as being pregnant either you are or you are not. How hard would his statement of statistically significant backfire in the near future, in the upcoming publication? What would Missling gain in buying a few months until the publication reveals he flat out lied? You did not say he lied but it is implied. Why would he put his reputation and career on the line if the PDD data is not statistically significant?
