NYT - on the divergence in EU and US oil majors paths taken to address energy transition. Towards the bottom is a time scale estimate from economist. IMO transition time follows somewhere between an exponential and a power law curves and it will probably be faster than discussed in the article. Nothing to do with government mandates, everything to do with renewables and storage costs.
