Yep, you're correct.

I had forgotten I had this from my broker, from last year:

Our Corporate Actions team was able to confirm that the shares are restricted. So they will not be tradable until the restriction is removed. If the transfer agent is removing the restriction, we have not received any notice yet.

Note that we can research the restriction and help remove it but we do charge a $150 fee for that, so that may not be worth it as the value of the shares is currently less.

Who informed you that the shares would be tradable today?

The CEO.

Okay, got it. That could be right, but we will need to wait for the clearance to arrive. So far we do not have it.
