Good for you Flip. I also currently into hiking and jogging too. So relaxing in the midst of redwood forest close by while listening to bird chirping along the way hiking the steep hills. I felt recharged mentally while physically exhausted.

flipper44,

Thanks for sharing that. That walking and change in diet to fasting and more protein just totally causes a reset of blood sugar balance. Your entire system is cycling faster so impurities are removed quicker too especially if the exercise leads to more water intake. Increasing fiber to recommended amounts will also help restore energy levels. An red apple a day.. also helps improve lung function up to about 5%. You and Mav should lead a healthy living class. Lol. Best wishes.

Thanks flipper for your recommendation and personal experience.

Already practiced these in principle for over a year with less intensity though than recommended: probably only 3,000 to 6,000 steps a day, heavy swimming two or three times a week, occasional weightlifting, hiking, etc.

My blood pressure dropped, but weight remains in an undesirable level after an initial drop somewhat. Don't want to punish myself for not eating delicious foods, particularly meat with some fat. So it's no dieting for me except consuming less amount. That explain it's hard for me to chop a few more pound, which I accept at the time being, unless I increase exercising intensity and/or go on a diet.

My experience/observation of myself that drinking helps gaining weight, particularly in the waist, seems contrary to popular belief.

Maybe people are really different on this matter.

Thank you for the tip. This is worth looking into and I would not mind shooting for 15,000 steps a day and not 10,000.
