Agreed there is no particular need to PR a soft data lock. They have not done so for all those past "Spring Refreshes".

Question is, given that a soft lock is just an insignificant step on the path, why PR it as a possibility as opposed to an actual data lock?

If they have gone to soft lock, the CRA/CRO folks would be unblinded to the data, missing, presumably, a "few pieces." Company would still be blinded. If that has happened and the analyses have begun, the clock would be ticking toward TLD, T-minus 4-6 weeks and counting from the day they went to soft lock. And, as long as the missing pieces are compiled and included into the already analysed data, we should be on track for middle-to-end of July. My point is that three weeks ago they said approximately two more weeks, and they haven't announced any lock or provided any update. We are at the end of "approximately." Only possible because of the tight grip LP has on NWBO and lack of expertise in communication skills (because attorneys are like that). All gives fodder to the naysayers.
