Addendum:
I guess a point in my previous logic post was that producing 30mg tablets and 50mg tablets is not the best use of manufacturing cost for purposes of mixing things up - dosage wise.

Neither is manufacturing every single dose by 10’s up to 50mg.

Some will have no use later and go to waste.

Bio, that is pretty good thinking thanks.

I always found it hard to understand given the P2a data why Anavex would want to run the AD trial in particular with just 10mg and 20mg.

Perhaps your suggestion is exactly what is happening. If so my confidence in 20% - 25% of dose arm patients responding well goes up.

Compounding the dosages of same-size 10 and 20 that way would 'hide' who gets what, but that can be achieved simply with same-size 30 and 50mg pills. (As for titrating up the placebo arm, a stock of 10mg pills takes care of that.)

I've never seen the dosing disclosure in a trial so "restricted to maintain blinding" (citing the corporate presentations). I wonder if Doc328 has any insight here. Every blinded trial I'm familiar with, the dosages were publicly disclosed. This is what is different.

Anyway, we'll find out more around July.

The only thing is Missling dodged the question when he had the perfect opportunity to clear up the matter entirely. Why wouldn’t he want to make it clear that 50mgs was one of the arms? I don’t understand the rationale.
