ILT...we just have far few facts right now to make a good judgement about her mental competency....people grief in many different ways and time frames....I buy collectibles with a good amount of time from the family of the deceased collector many times the wife....I've come across situations where they can't get his stuff out of the house fast enough to having to wait years...reaction and mind set is not predictable.
However bad her decision I will give her the benefit of the doubt that she would have made the same rulings with or without her personal tragedies.

It was not her first patent trial - she's designated as some special patent judge at that court - this was her first non-jury (bench) patent trial. IIRC she's had something like 44 patent trials before her.
