I think they may have called it a passbook! It came with a small rectangular 'book' in a plastic sleeve that I kept in pristine condition and was fascinated by. I got it when I was 6 or 7 I think.

This new account mentioned is surely subject to change but it works for now. they are small but seem to be growing.
It's a good alternative to bank bonuses a few times a year, which pay a good percentage though require leg work.
