Kiwi, the economic fallout is becoming exponentially untenable by the day. We're looking at 30 million people having applied for unemployment beneifits. The government is finding that their unsustainable cash stimulous packages are requiring further cash infustions. It gets worse. The Democrates are gaming the pressure, and preventing funds from going out the door in order to pressure their pet projects through. Congressional leaders are on recess, and they're not demonstrating a sense of urgency to get money into the hands of those who need it the most.

Keep in mind, half the population lives pay check to pay check. It's very naive to make a blanket statement, particulary, because you have no idea of the devastation that you're not a witness to. Foodbanks are beiing overrun by the 1000's.

Thousands of people are dying everyday of illnesses the hosptals are turning away. This doesn't include people living with illness who are afraid to go to the hospitals, and people with illnesses that will die five years from now, for not being treated earlier today. Besides the meriad of illnesses people die of everyday, you can add suicide and child abuse from parents who are cooped up with their kids all day.

When you put up to 15% + of the GDP into the economy as unearned cash, isn't absolutely critical to build up demand for goods and services to offset free cash flow. So at this rate, we get closer by the day to either the worse recession since the Great Depression, or the worse inflation we've ever know. Take your pick.

Gotta weigh in here, if I may. We can certainly begin opening large segments of the country. If you live in fly over country, there is no pandemic, never was. New York City and other big urban areas have one, but not fly over country. Ridiculous to treat everywhere with one brush. Montana, for example is gonna start opening. I mean good grief, 147k square miles and about 400 some cases.
