So Merck is on the cusp of investing billions or tens of billions into this Company yet they just had a chance to start gobbling up shares at 15 cents but decided they'd rather spend $10 a share months later.
In the case of Duffy, and his coming and going, the least amount of assumptions would be that that he simply came and went like people do.
That is not to say that the simplest explanation is the right one in this case (or in countless others!).
It's just that if you are going to test a series of hypotheses (which we cannot even do here), Occam's Razor suggests we should start with the simplest one first.
Not that I necessarily agree with that either. And in this case, we do have a curious set of circumstances surrounding Duffy's coming and going, which would make me doubt that the simplest explanation is the most accurate one.
So I'm not sure why you are citing Occam's Razor.
Scotty's assertion that Duffy approached NWBO first would indeed be interesting, if it were accurate. But we don't know that it is.
