I have been on Vascepa for almost two months now and it hasnt taken away any of my arthritic soreness/pain in my hands.

Well dmiller, you know, punching people in the face all day long can't be good for that either.

Another cause of inflammation inf the form of arthritic pain is gluten and sugar. And you are probably aware that any simple carb is turned into sugar by the body. Actually complex carbs are also converted to sugar, but more slowly.

My wife had inflammation along with other health problems. While going the medical route, we also researched for other possible remedies. Allergies seemed to be a possibility. Typical food allergies are dairy, gluten, nuts.

For her, when she cut the gluten, most of her problems went away. And over the last several years (5-6) I have lowerd my gluten intake in sympathy.

And have been going in the direction of low carb diets and really cutting back on refined sugar.

I can really tell the difference if I go on a sugar binge now...like eating cake with icing. Sometimes feel the inflammation it in the hands and fingers.

Long way of saying if you haven't tried cutting sugar, carbs, and gluten, maybe give it a try and see if it helps.

I have seen similar, with regard to my hands. Of course, if I had a proper golf swing, that pain would probably go away. I have not been to the chiropractor for my chronic lower back adjustment since starting V, over 2 years without visiting him. Tightness in my chest is gone, generally feeling better.

Dmiller, Arthritis pain reduction wasn’t one of the primary or secondary endpoints and Vascepa isn’t designed or approved to be prescribed or recommended for hand pain/arthritis. It’s a proven CV Med and if some get real or imagined relief so be it. We are talking about possible CV benefits and potential protection that Vascepa May have against the cardiovascular damage associated with this type of virus. Not a cure for it. I think it’s worth exploring and discussing.
