There are books regarding emotional intelligence. A person with Asbergers can learn to make the connections with others based on practice and book learning. I have seen it play out with a relative.

JL, I knew that Aspy is Neuro Chemistry based. Lately, I'm coming across scientific articles more frequently which present a growing body of evidence that links brain function to the gut microbiome. I've read ADHD and Autism mentioned, but don't recall Aspy. I read a book called "The Brain that Changes" a while back. The book mentioned a woman who was born with half a brain. She pioneered specific exercises that stimulated her brain to learn new skills, which is normally handled by the side thats missing. She ended up getting a PhD and launched a school, primary focused on helping people overcome various disorders using customized exercises.
