The only thing that concerns me is that a good number of the patents were processed during JZ’s reign of terror. And he doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy who would employ the best “what if?” people to vet the patents. Del Griffith would probably have done a better job. So, JT gets this dropped in his lap (along with all the rest of JZ’s legacy) and just has to run with it. If we knew that Covington was involved at the beginning, I would feel a lot better.
