Another addition of visual 'color' to my ramblings.
This is the company my mom worked for doing clerical work (order-taking, customer service, making and sending catalogs, etc. The company owned and occupied the entire building - and was owned and managed by a woman (thought you might like to know that - Missus Allen was her name). The top floor was for clerical and business operations, the first floor and basement were for repairs, shipping, receiving, etc. done almost exclusively by men (there was one female mechanic who worked down there for several years).
This is in the 'city' where my lieberry is located that is 17-18 miles from my old home where I growed up at. As I've stated, one of the two major factories closed down ovr a decade ago and the 'city' has fallen on hard times. As you can see by the vacancy of this building and the for sale and for lease signs. Many prime downtown locations are also unoccupied or now house tattoo parlours, vape shops, liquor stores, and small retail that is breathing its last dying breaths.
