Accept it, understand it, and make money off it!

And in the small biotech space, the smart money is almost always on the short side because of confirmation bias!

There are so many small biotechs that are 95%+ to fail, and often have nitwit cult followings that create price levels that are so easy to exploit.

AMRN is a rare exception to that dynamic. It still seems to be attracting "smart short money" because those players are assuming it is still one of the confirmation bias "wounded gazelle" plays.

There have been pockets of opportunity here for the shorts -- but the long game is in the long's favor.

There are no lessons for biotech suckers here. Most of the other lottery tickets will come up losers.

Confirmation bias, especially when it comes to investing can be overcome. It's not easy but it definitely can be overcome. When I finally overcame this debilitating thought process when it comes to investing, I finally started to make big returns in the markets consistently and avoided some really big losses. Some people view me as being negative and tell me to sell or call me short. I'm neither, I question everything and don't buy into the cheer-leading . This is where people get themselves into trouble.

Confirmation bias is responsible for so many bad decisions in the world. But it's hard wired in many, as they recently showed on brain scans the brain reacts as if threatened and takes a defensive position when presented with something opposed to their existing view if it is a strong belief. Obviously not everyone has this, maybe everyone is born with it and some overcome it and the majority do not? Maybe it's genetic?

If we could fix that part of most peoples brains the world would be more science based and thus arguments would be over how good is the science but for the most part people would be on the same page. It's definitely be a totally different world.

But expecting most people to not have confirmation bias is an expectation you have that will never be met. Accept it, understand it, and make money off it!
