In the last 12 months MDCO moved from $16 to $56 prior to BO. Hardly like every advance was sold off.

couldbe--shorts didn't know mdco was being bought out--and surely not the timing. Here shorts know by dec. 28 need to cover--so you'll see gradual covering/price increase.

Big diff between the MDCO shorts and AMRN shorts - the 'tutes bought up the shorted shares, 'tute ownership was something like 128%, but AMRN still has 'tute ownership of around 50% - no short squeeze in MDCO. In fact, the day it gapped from $58 to $73 (11/19), ratio of new shorts to short covers was 60% - hard to believe, but true.
