I think you contradict yourself here. You speak to the experience of LP/LG and then in the bulk of your post you completely disregard that experience with your opinion that the hires are not good hires. David Innes is an experienced guy, and if you’ve ever taken the time to speak with him you’d see that he’s very informed and astute. He’s doing things behind the scenes, and the fruits of which will become apparent in the near future. The badmouthing he’s received as the PR guy I feel will be shown, as much of the back seat driving (by unlicensed drivers at times) here, to be shortsighted and naive.
An investment banker hire in the “minor league” as you refer to her may have a much different skill set that could fit well in what Linda Powers sees looking forward. I feel it’s a bit silly actually to believe LP/LG are experienced and then dismiss their hiring as if you have some sort of insight into the inner workings of the move. It’s a bit like a kid who plays football for a good high school team making judgments about NFL front office hires, in my opinion.
