Thank you for attending and taking the time write your report. I don't recall all of Jay's reasoning but I'd like to add that the LF facility was an opportunity for Li to showcase the Eontec machine AGAINST the Engel machine side by side...

Jaybiscuit, if you mentioned this all the credit goes to you. I just didn't have time to burn through all of the old posts.

Very Interesting!

Thanks for the report. I second DMN, it is nice to have something worth reading.

I guess that puts a nail in the coffin for revenue from Asus. Who are we going to believe, the LQMT reps and SEC filings, or a game of connect the dots?

Hopefully Apple will come through, but seeing as how Apple has a license to all CIP in the CE field, I can’t figure out why Apple will involve LQMT. Why add a middleman and the associated costs instead of going directly to Eontec/Yihao?

This is highly informative. I thank you for your specificity and willingness to take such notes.

I always knew the LQMT flyer was about Yihao's capabilities. It would have been nice to ask what the other 40 machines in Yihao were producing re; AMM, or perhaps they did mention this.

Interesting re; Peterson. A sales organization for LQMT will help. Someone pointed this out on the board(I didn't think too much of it) but sounds like strategic placement.

Interesting re; Apple - this still stymie's our play for license revenue.

Anything on 106c? I guess I should have focused on getting you some questions so that's on me.

I wonder what they would have said about the ASUS part with liquidmetal and what that story is. And what 106c is in relation to Eontec or LQMT.

Good information, still many unanswered elements.

I don't get the Apple part. Apple already has paid for the option to use LQMT. No way Yihao could possibly keep up to make the amount of parts that Apple would need with 90 machines. Don't see any revenue there for years at least.

If LQMT brought Apple to LF for prototypes only to get Yihao to mfg without any license revenue to LQMT that would be sort of a real slap in the face in many ways. LF will simply be a tool for Yihao and Eontec pehaps. Or whoever is trying to get the Apple contract.

This would not be a good thing as it will prove that the LF facility, LI investment, was designed to lure Apple to his maze without LQMT revenue.

Sort of like a cheating wife in the house you pay the mortgage.

Excellent post, thank you.

LQMT does not have a website network administrator since Matt was let go/exited last year. There is no website administrator in place.

Your questions and insight were spot on. The answers from the LQMT personnel were respectful.

Good luck to you

That should end the CE debate. LQMT is NOT in the CE business.

Thank you for that report.

As I speculated, in my Chickens and Eggs analogy, the promo flier that mentioned CE and years of experience between a LQMT and Yihao did Not mean that LQMT was now in the CE business. The CE reference in that promo was strictly Yihao Metals experience.

The reaffirmation that the MTA restrictions are still in place should be of no surprise to anyone who read the MTA.

The famous part that JoTu keeps showing has nothing to do with LQMT.

The capability to produce parts on a massive scale is a huge plus, and will change the future of LQMT for the better. They are now (finally) in position to sign contracts for large parts orders. - Thanks to Lugee. - As I kept mentioning, their prior limitations on manufacturing capability prevented this company from growing, as was the one major obstacle Steipp couldn’t overcome. That limitation is now OVER. Big contracts will surely come during the next 12 months.

Nice work, can't believe you got away with that much information! Thanks for sharing. Seems like deja vu all over again. Subtract 10 years of head scratching and here we are back at the Apple door. I sure hope so.
Stay tuned.

Hey all, I need some help!

Netadmin2436 did a great job of asking questions to the Liquidmetal staff at the trade show—but one answer confused him—and me.

Here it is:

“I also asked about the FaceID/Camera bracket that shown on the LQMT/Yihao flyer. The bracket on display is NOT from LQMT. It was from YiHao and used in Huawei. Confusing.”

My question, and the help I need, is this:

Does Huawei have a cell phone that uses the exact same camera layout of Apple??? In other words, will the bracket shown in the flyer actually fit a Huawei phone?

I am not familiar with their models at all. Any help will be greatly appreciated! I find it so confusing that this camera bracket is almost, if not exactly, the same as Apple’s.

Thanks in advance!
