Hey guys, I just got back from MD&M Tradeshow in Minneapolis. Here's a few things from today in no particular order.

A picture of the booth can be found on LQMT's Linkedin page. Daniel and Xiang were two LQMT engineers working the tradeshow. Peterson Enterprises were also next to LQMT and representing them in a sales role.
https://www.linkedin.com/company/liquidmetal-technologies/

Kris Kent is gone from LQMT. I asked then why does his name appear on the website blog page. (https://www.liquidmetal.com/blog/) They didn't know what I was talking about until I showed them the blog post from October 9, 2019 for the trade-show they were currently working. They said it was an error and that they would contact the website person and have it corrected. They figured the website person probably just copied and pasted an old template. This makes sense to me, as, I myself used to maintain a few website and I would do the same copy and pasting code. Simple mistake. Easy fix.

I asked them about the leatherman Multitool bracelet. They said it was just a prototype at this time.

They are still making the bridge pins for Martin guitars. They showed me one of the pins.

I started to ask about revenue and if they can forecast whether it will be increasing for decreasing from the previous years. They would not answer that, however one statement that stood out for me is they were "being very aggressive with prototypes". Does this mean they are being very aggressive with 2 or 3 prototypes for 1 or 2 companies or does this mean they are making hundreds of prototypes for 50 customers. I don't know, but either way I think is good.

I started asking if LQMT can be used in CE. It was reiterated that LQMT can only be used in Apple products if it's CE. The agreement with Apple and CE still stands, nothing has changed. So unless Apple makes an exception, we can only assume LQMT will not be in any other CE device that's not Apple. I asked specifically if LQMT could be used in Huawei phones and sold only in china (not sold in the US). The answer was NO. Anything CE sold anywhere. It's Apple or nothing in CE.

They would not answer any questions regarding if they made any brackets, antennas, face ID brackets, cases, mid-frames, cameras, anything regarding CE. I expected this.

I asked about the LQMT flyer about partnering with YiHao and why does it say CE on it. They said that's only to show that YiHao has manufactured CE parts for other companies and that YiHao is capable on a large scale.

I also asked about the FaceID/Camera bracket that shown on the LQMT/Yihao flyer. The bracket on display is NOT from LQMT. It was from YiHao and used in Huawei. Confusing. But again, it's just shown to prove capabilities for YiHao. That flyer in general is more to showcase YiHao and less about LQMT.

I asked about the restructuring and how that is going. At one point they mentioned that Lake Forest was used to show concept to customers that they could produce the prototypes. They stressed that now they are partnered with YiHao and could produce on a massive scale. They also made sure to mention that YiHao was upgrading from 40 machines to 90+ machines very soon. The way it was described was very similar as JayBiscuit's theory about why they purchased a new building, upgraded the electrical, only to essentially eliminate the manufacturing aspect at Lake Forest a year later. As it was being described by Daniel, I thought of JayBiscuit's theory. It's a match! The cost of the electrical upgrade is tiny compared to a potential contract from Apple.

I would have to say that JayBiscuit is right at this point. This is an Apple play.
