Let's pray that someone qualified and dynamic comes along to fill it. A rushed sloppy hire would cause all sorts of issues.

Im sure they are vetting very thoroughly leaving no stone unturned as there are many tricks up competitors sleeves at delaying and disrupting the competition. Money isn’t intrinsically evil its the love of money and unfortunately many people are for sale. Not a chance Dr M isnt the last set of eyes and the final yes, imo.
