I am invested both financially and emotionally in Anavex. Like most here I want to see 2-73 succeed for the good it may do for people that have few choices and for my standard of living.
If Anavex 2-73 fails to achieve success in at least one of these trials I will be very surprised. Mostly because the SOC for these trials is so low. 2-73 has a low bar to clear.
The outlook for AD is less clear from my perspective. For those that are strong responders, 2-73 is a miracle drug. It remains to be seen how many strong responders there will be out of a larger population. We just don't know at this point. We have suspicions, hopes, prayers, but no solid data.
If the 6 out of 32 ratio holds that is roughly 19% of the population. We don't know how the rest of the population would respond. We assume that the rate of decline is slowed for many of them. Do we have data to back that up? Does that group break down to those that 2-73 has no effect and the rest have a slowing of decline?
Given that the SOC is about zilch for AD, almost anything will be an improvement and should get Anavex a drug approval.
