I have not seen any studies showing interaction between SIGMAR1 signaling and CFTR or transmembrane flux of chloride. So it's probably not going to help with the upper class loss-of-function mutations of CFTR.

It might help with relieving oxidative stress and ameliorate the supression of CFTR expression in the lung caused by OS in lower mutation classes (4 and up).
